Common foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) is an herbaceous biennial or short-lived perennial native to Europe and naturalized in parts of North America. The plant blooms in the summer of its second year, with colorful tubular flowers on a one-to-two foot tall stem. The flowers, which are favorites of bees, are heavily spotted inside.
