Joe explains that Me and My Favorite Words is "an illustration of how I feel when I try to impart hard won wisdom to my sons. Quilted into it are many of my favorite words, including 'Pattern Available.'" The figure at right is a self-portrait, "tall and skinny with a big mouth."
