This quilt references the old adage "Red sky at night, sailor's delight." Joe machine appliquéd bias tape on a piece of wax resist indigo fabric from a textile training center in Ghana and says when he made this he was" thinking about glimpsing the infinite and how laughable the idea of protection against the universe is."
