Pauline Burbidge says that Applecross Quilt was made with inspiration from the wild and rugged landscape around Applecross, on the northwest coast of Scotland. The quilt was originally commissioned by the Sheffield Museum Galleries Trust for the exhibition ‘On the Map’ in 2007. It will be included in the Victoria & Albert Museum's exhibition,"Quilts 1700 – 2010," along with masterpieces from the museum's own extraordinary collection.
